Please note that all of the adhesive rulers are made to order. We do not stock any rulers, so we ask that you allow a 3-4 week lead time.

Specification:
Our adhesive backed rulers are printed on 2 mil thick polyester for dimensional accuracy and durability and are usually made in 3 foot/1 meter segments for ease of applying. Some one piece segments are available. Rulers have a 1 mil polyester finish top coat over the graphics to protect them from chemicals and to extend the service from abrasive conditions. Heavier top coats are available for more severe applications, please call to request a different top coat. We can make up to 10 mil thick top coat, and have matte and glossy finishes available upon request. We can even make the rulers without the adhesive backing. Rulers are generally water resistant for indoor use. If outdoor (waterproof) rulers are required for your application, please call to specify.
Installation Recommendations:
Remove backing, then apply to any clean, dry and smooth surface. For rules comprised of two or more sections, trim both edges of each end where they butt together. An easy method of doing this is to overlap ends of one another and use a razor knife to cut through both layers. Then remove the excess from underneath to avoid a high spot. Use a one-piece metal rule for a dimensional reference so that an accumulated error doesn't occur.
Notes: Rules tightly coiled for shipping may appear shorter then normal when first unpacked. This phenomenon is apparent when the release liner has ""slipped"" and is exposed beyond the rule ends. When removed from the liner the rule length will normalize.

Adhesive rulers can be applied to any clean, dry and smooth surface and stick well to steel, aluminum, hard plastics, glass, wood (preferably sealed), etc. Adhesive rulers can be initially pulled up and repositioned without detrimental loss of adhesion. However, after a few days the adhesive will set and become more difficult to remove. Should later replacement become necessary, use an alcohol based solvent cleaner to remove.

Fractional Rulers are rulers that measure in inches and feet.

Q: Are the rulers made in one continuous section?
A: No, they are typically made in 3' sections with continuous measurement. This will assist with the application process so that your ruler will actually be accurate once applied.

A: Yes. There is a 3-4 week lead time and custom rulers are available for a minimum set up fee of $90.00.
